Fraoch
sales are still increasing; in particular the 500ml bottle is
selling well, as is the "Historic ales from Scotland"
gift pack. Due to better availability in: Safeway's, Sainsbury's
Waitrose and Oddbins, heather ale has found a loyal following
of discerning ale drinkers.
In
addition to off sales there are many more quality beer bars selling
a range of esoteric beers, naturally these bars stock Scotland's
native ale
. They would be daft not to!
This
year kicked off in January/February with the Celtic Connections
music festival in Glasgow, which was supported by Fraoch, and
we sold loads of ale and gave out hundreds of Fraoch/ Celtic Connections
T shirts. (All gone, don't ask!)
March
was also busy with production, trying to catch up with stock levels,
and then April was spent touring the USA. A big hello and thanks
to all the Fraoch drinkers in Washington DC, Baltimore, Chicago,
and Milwaukee.
Back
in Scotland - Congratulations to our regular customers: Guy at
the Clachaig Inn, Glencoe. Robin and Gay at the Clockwork Beer
Co, Glasgow. Voted best pubs in Scotland, well done!
~ And hey,
we must all have good taste, you both sells lots of Fraoch!
Fine
comments on Kelpie seaweed ale in many magazine articles, we really
did not expect as many devout seaweed fans out there. Thank you
all.
Plans
for this year are to keep up with current demands, so don't expect
a new product in bottle yet, but watch out for our a few cask
ale experiments!
So
that you know; Heather Ale Ltd is the main company and owns and
produces a full range of cask and bottled ales under the banner
"Historic ales from Scotland" we also sell the full
range of cask ales from "Craigmill Brewery" which are
more modern styles, we also have the Craigmill Swallow IPA available
now in 355ml bottles.
This
year, the "Craigmill Brewery" is going to get more recognition
(we hope!) it is an idyllic traditional brewery working out of
a fantastic site, with great people, making brilliant beer. So
watch out for the product in local bars and shops.
